Our guest speaker, Alain Ménard — co-founder and president of The Green Beaver Company and Fromagerie des TroisRapides, as well as an HIIA board member — emphasized the importance of buying local in light of new tariffs imposed by the United States. He shared the story behind The Green Beaver Company, the meaning of its logo, and the benefits of its natural products. Despite economic challenges, these tariffs have significantly boosted the popularity of his Canadian products versus similar American products, illustrating the business potential for Canadian companies. Both The Green Beaver Company and Fromagerie des Trois-Rapides focus on natural and eco-friendly products, which are at the core of their mission.
